Thermal Imaging

Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to “see” and "measure" thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal, or infrared energy, is light that is not visible to the human eye. It is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is perceived as heat. Infrared thermography cameras produce images of invisible infrared or heat radiation and provide precise non-contact, non-invasive temperature measurement capabilities.

Kyron's Thermographers utilize a Fluke Ti30 Thermal Imager in conjunction with specifically designed software, that provides detailed reports with no destructive sampling or disruption of a facility or equipment. Thermal Imaging can be used to quickly and precisely locate problems such as the source of water incursion or heat and energy loss.

Kyron's certified Thermographers can detect:

  • Moisture intrusion that is not visible to the naked eye
  • Electrical/mechanical problems due to poor connections or defective components
  • HVAC duct leakage
  • Building Envelope air infiltration and leakage, typically at doors, windows, and wall/ceiling joints in addition to insulation gaps and voids
